Three new poems for the faithful. You're the best.

A lot of scholars think Jesus was referencing Dionysus when he turned the water into wine. I have no opinion on the matter. Many artists begin their careers by doing cover versions. The Beatles did. It was nice to see so many reactionary Christians get all het up about the sacredness of a painting this week during the opening ceremony of the Olympics. There is a lot that could be written about how we make our symbols more sacred than the truth they represent. But by the time I get round to writing that properly the Olympics would be over and we all would have moved on to some new drama.

It's August. Which is officially Leo season. Also known as David season. It's my birthday soon. What are your plans to celebrate me? I know we're all busy and it's election year and all but this seems like a priority.
